TriCoast Film Financing
TriCoast announces the availability of film finishing funds designated for the final 25-30% of a film’s budget and can be used for services to complete the film, such as pick-up shots, editorial work, sound, music, effects, deliverables, etc. Any films selected to receive these funds will also be distributed worldwide by TriCoast International. TriCoast International premiered three successful films at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival . MOVING MCALLISTER, a romantic comedy about an ambitious law intern’s road trip, stars Ben Gourley, Jon Heder, Mila Kunis and Rutger Hauer. The film was selected as an official entry to the Napoli Film Festival. MY BROTHER, starring Vanessa Williams, Nashawn Kearse and Tatum O’Neal, tells a dramatic and uplifting story of the lives of a dying mother and her two sons. A thriller/horror film starring James DuMont, Michelle Tomlinson, and Heather Sconyers, CELLAR DOOR, depicts a twisted tale of captivity and insanity. Most recently, TriCoast International has also signed on to finance, produce, and distribute the feature film WHACKED, an explosive action thriller in the tradition of THE SOPRANOS. Principal photography is set to start in August 2007.
Special-Interest DVDs
Lately, knitting, sewing and crafts have become some of the hottest activities, with classes and parties popping up everywhere. TriCoast offers a dozen DVDs to get you started! Together with partner and crafts leader Leisure Arts, a division of Liberty Media, TriCoast has created a highly successful series of Special-Interest DVDs on the arts of knitting, crocheting, sewing and craft. The DVDs have seen great success in craft stores and will now be sold in traditional DVD stores. Among the titles in this line are THE ART OF KNITTING 4 KIDS, which is designed to educate, entertain, and inspire kids with a new creative skill, using three methodologies: kids teaching kids, learning through story, and learning through fun. TriCoast also offers STYLE REMIX, a DVD to teach teens and women how to update their wardrobe while staying on a budget. Hosts Candice Coke (CSI: NY and HEROES guest star) and designer Laurie Wenger guide viewers through the easy steps towards wardrobe creativity while entertaining with their simple instructions and superb remix tips.
