TriCoast Studios is celebrating 20 years in Show Business this year, and what amazing years they’ve been! The company was originally founded to produce the feature film BLUEBERRY HILL for Mediacom and MGM. Since that time the company has made 22 feature films, 4 direct-to-DVD features, 2 lines of Special Interest Craft DVDs, 4 made-for-TV movies, 2 successful TV Pilots that turned into series, including the biggest selling children’s series of all time, “THE MIGHTY MORPHIN’ POWER RANGERS,” and over 500 coming attractions movie trailers including Oscar winners TITANIC and CRASH. Nominations and awards garnered by our creative team on these projects include: Film Festival Awards, Emmy Awards, Humanitas Awards, Director’s Guild of America Awards, Golden Reel Awards, and Golden Trailer Awards.


June 7th, 2007

TriCoast Studios announces an agreement with Six Sense Productions to produce the character based crime thriller WHACKED. The film will be directed by Matt Zettell and Produced by Hillary Six, the team behind the successful film THE CELLAR DOOR which TriCoast International acquired for distribution before Cannes. Jan Glaser is casting.

WHACKED tells the story of a neurotic hit man who's sent in from the East Coast to 'take care of somebody'. In the middle of the hit he's made by a beautiful co-ed and her friend. When the hit man kidnaps the witnesses, he falls in love with the girl, and is not sure if he should  kill her or sleep with her, while his driver bears the brunt of this indecision from the mob bosses, and the cops try to track him down.

The film will be financed by TriCoast International.
